Rainy Twilight In Paris
Papery dusk with faint brushstrokes
In opal skies The clouds picking up their voluminous skirts
To sachet across the heavens
While fountains spray streams of new stars
Locked between ancient stone structures
Cobblestone streets shimmer with rain
An interplay of light and darkness
Are silver hand-prints laying finger shadows
To smudge skies and rooftops
Treetops paralyzed in pearly mist
Night breaking into twilight
Azure and quick
The Paris night crests into waves
Of lights and spontaneity
And in the domes of the heavens
Rain a hailstorm of stars
