Park Moments

How nice to watch young women pass,
while sitting in the sunshine of a park.
Their high heels click
like hail assaulting corporate windows.
Their bright dresses light up my lunch hour.
The nearby traffic honks and roars.
People pass bewildered, sad,
barred from gladness
by impenetrable doors.
Yet somehow,
in the sunshine of the park,
I'm happy.
